The CAJE Schusterman College Program allows college students who are entering sophomores, juniors and seniors to explore their Jewish identities and engage in thought-provoking Jewish learning in an open, pluralistic environment. The program also allows students to explore future opportunities in Jewish education, as professionals and lay leaders. The Schusterman College Program is a week-long experience as part of the larger CAJE conference, including Pre-Conference and Shabbat. Annually, the college program attracts about 25 students and the CAJE conference attracts about 1,200 participants. The Program combines sessions organized exclusively for its participants, with the opportunity to participate in the larger conference program. A generous grant from the Schusterman Foundation covers the full cost of the conference. Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses and for a discounted CAJE membership fee of $36. Abraham SpackZ"L was a venerated Jewish educator who raised up many disciples and took special delight in young people - particularly those embarking on careers in Jewish education. In addition to covering all conference fees, this prestigious college fellowship in his memory also covers round trip travel expenses for the conference. Please contact us at (212) 268-4210 or caje32scp@gmail.com with any questions. Students are accepted on a first come, first served basis. When the program is full, CAJE will indicate that on this page of the website.
Please Note: The final page on the application is a payment page. You are not required to pay membership unless you are accepted into the program! At the bottom of the page in the payment section, please click "check only" and we will bill you if you are accepted into the program. Please do make sure you complete the remaining sections on that page.
